Starting New Churches
Where Do You Fit Into the Picture?
Church Planting and starting new small groups and ministries that assist in developing new church planting opportunities are all priorities in our Association.
In recent years we have partnered with new churches started in Penn Yan, Webster, Geneva, Watkins Glen, Rochester, and Irondequoit. Also we have a pilot project, the Branches Fellowship Multi-housing Church Planting Ministries, that seeks to start groups throughout the greater Rochester area utilizing evangelism (personal, event, and ministry) and small groups to reach multi-housing community residents. Most of our church planting is carried out with bi-vocational planters strategies.
We agree with the adage, "find out where God is at work and join Him." Some priorty sites and people groups where new churches are needed to share the Gospel:
Deaf Population Focused Church- Rochester
Ukrainian American Church- North Monroe County
African American-Rochester
Student Focused Church-Southwest Rochester
Steuben County (Corning, NY)
Palmyra-Macedon (Wayne County)
Brockport, NY (S.U.N.Y emphasis)
Indian Church-Rochester
